Securus Technologies: Stopping the Entry of Contrabands

Robert Johnson stated his awful experiences of becoming a jail officer at a local correctional facility in the state of North Carolina. He has always been faithful to his superiors, but he never thought that he will become a victim of a failed assassination attempt. According to him, they would always do prison cell checks and monitor the prisoners if they have smuggled something. The number one thing that they keep on confiscating are contraband cell phones, and he would always tell the prisoners that additional punishment will be given to those who would try to smuggled contraband cell phones inside their prison cell. He would receive occasional death threats from the prisoners, but he dismissed them as jokes that would never happen.

However, one incident changed his life. He was attacked inside his home by two armed men who shot him six times. He fell to the ground bleeding to death. Fortunately, his wife was alert and called the police. Robert Johnson was rushed to the hospital, and the doctors stated that he is very lucky to survive an incident similar to what happened to him. Police investigators started to trace down who the perpetrator might be, and evidences lead to someone who is detained inside the prison. After a brief interview with the suspect, they concluded that it was indeed him who ordered his men outside the prison to assassinate him. He also confessed that he used a contraband cell phone to orchestrate his assassination.

Robert Johnson quit his job for security reasons, and he decided to join Securus Technologies to become a paid consultant. His addition to the company was welcomed by the executives at Securus Technologies, and they stated that they will be doing everything that they can to protect the jail officers and the public who are subject to the threats coming from prisoners who have access to contraband cell phones. After receiving the report about what happened to Robert Johnson, Securus Technologies immediately alerted their engineers and requested them to create a technology that would help detect and immobilize contraband cell phones. The project was researched for months, and just recently, the company has introduced the technology needed to detect these devices.

The wireless containment system, as what Securus Technnologies call their new device, will be installed in eight prisons across the United States. If proven to be successful, the wireless containment system will be deployed in all of the prisons which have forged partnerships with Securus Technologies. The jail officers have appreciated the assistance from the company, stating that they are really serious in protecting their clients. The company will continue to create devices that would ensure the safety and security of the prisoners, the jail officers, and the public.
