Back in school, they taught us about the intrinsic nature of rights, they day in day out reminded us that we have the moral and social obligation to protect and respect this right. There are those few groups, however, that most seem to take the ill advantage of, this few forget that they too have rights, just like anyone of us. How then can society protect that defenseless widow, how can they ensure that the migrants in society are not looked down upon, how are the orphans, women, and children protected from the abuse of their rights?

Well, several groups have been founded to help provide solutions to this pressing issues. The groups advocate and push for the protection of civil, human and migrant rights in society,

  1. Amazon Watch

This group bases her operations in San Francisco. People who work for large-scale plants suffer from the infringement of their rights. Companies such as this at times do away with their employees after contracting ailments usually brought about by work-related hazards.

The Amazon Watch seeks to protect this employee from the abuse of their freedoms. The group secures worker rights in such situations by working closely with indigenous establishments and environmental institutions.

  1. International Migrant’s Rights Advocacy

Migrants in society are often subject to poor treatment and abuse. The International Migrant’s Rights Advocacy was specially formed to empower and fight for the migrants in society. The migrants are given a platform where they can speak out and be heard.

The group does not, however, work alone. The team jointly works with institutions that fight for migrant rights all over the world. People are made aware of exactly how important it is to protect and uphold the migrant rights.

  1. The Larkin and Lacey Frontera Fund

You have probably heard, or even have been, in the past or present, a beneficiary of the exemplary contributions this fund has made in society. The fund by Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin started from the proceedings they had gotten from a court settlement.

The two co-founders had previously found themselves at odds with the law when they were unjustly arrested and charged with releasing weighty information to the public domain. The duo was then empowered to fight for substantial freedoms such as the freedom of speech.

The Arizona based institution also took it upon themselves to fight for ad educate civilians on the importance of protecting and upholding civil, human and migrant rights.
